Thank you for using our service. We’re glad you’re here. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of FolderFort's website, products, and services. Please read them carefully and let us know if you have any questions.

By using FolderFort, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you're using FolderFort on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization.

The Terms may be updated at anytime without notice.

Content

All content on FolderFort is protected by intellectual property laws. You'll find a few different types of content on our service.

Your Files

You can back up, host, store, and share your own files on FolderFort. The materials you upload to FolderFort are yours and yours alone. You give us permission to use that material solely to provide our services, including storing, displaying, reproducing, and distributing those materials. We don't sell the files you store with us to third parties, and we don't use them for advertising purposes. We can disclose your files only in the limited circumstances described in our Privacy Notice.

Your Responsibilities

Your use of our services must comply with our Terms and applicable FolderFort policies, as well as applicable law, including:

Export control laws and regulations
Privacy laws
Intellectual property laws
Other third-party legal rights

You are solely responsible for the development, content, and use of the files you upload to FolderFort and assume all associated risks. By storing files with FolderFort, you represent that you have all necessary rights to store, use, and, if applicable, publicize that material. Our services allow you to share your files with others, and you are responsible for securing and protecting your account and files accordingly.

FolderFort does not actively monitor the files you upload, download, or share. However, we reserve the right to remove files and/or suspend your access if we become aware of violations of our Terms, applicable policies, or laws. We assume no liability for any content stored with FolderFort.

FolderFort's Content and Brand Features

FolderFort may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. FolderFort grants you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable, and non-exclusive license to use the software provided to access our services. If you violate these Terms, we may terminate this license. All rights to FolderFort—except third-party content—are the exclusive property of FolderFort and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms authorizes you to use FolderFort’s trademarks, logos, domain names, or other distinctive brand features unless otherwise permitted by law.

Prohibited Activities

To maintain a great service, you must comply with our Terms. Violations include, but are not limited to:

Engaging in illegal activities
Threatening, abusive, or harassing behavior
Harassing or abusing FolderFort personnel
Hosting or distributing malware, phishing, or spam
Interfering with FolderFort’s operations
Making files publicly available for mass download
Circumventing storage space limits or pricing
Using the FolderFort system inconsistently with its intended purpose

Service and Feature Changes

No Guaranteed Feature Set: FolderFort continually evolves, and we do not guarantee that any specific features, tools, or functionalities will remain available indefinitely.
New Features May Be Paid: Some features and updates may be released as paid upgrades, and we are not obligated to provide them for free, even to lifetime deal customers.
Modification Rights: We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or remove features at any time without notice.

Lifetime Deal Clarifications

Lifetime Deals Cover Core Features at Purchase Time: Customers purchasing a lifetime deal will receive only the features available at the time of purchase. Additional features, improvements, or expansions may be offered as separate purchases or subscriptions.
No Refunds for Feature Changes: We do not provide refunds or credits due to feature modifications, removals, or the introduction of premium options.
Definition of "Lifetime": The term “lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the product, not the individual user. FolderFort reserves the right to discontinue the product or service at its discretion.

Pricing and Payment Terms

Price Adjustments: FolderFort reserves the right to change pricing structures for all plans, services, and features at any time.
Credits, Discounts, and Promotional Offers: Except where the specific terms of an accepted offer expressly provide otherwise, promotional offers and credits are not permanent and may be discontinued or changed. The permanent Great Migration Discount Lock and any earlier individually confirmed fixed-dollar commitments are governed by their specific offer terms below.
Account Termination Due to Abuse: If an account is found to be abusing our system, we reserve the right to limit, suspend, or terminate the account without compensation.

Fair Usage and System Protection

Usage Monitoring: We monitor system usage to prevent excessive resource consumption that could degrade service for other users.
Abuse Prevention Measures: FolderFort reserves the right to throttle bandwidth, restrict API calls, or implement other safeguards if an account’s activity negatively impacts system performance.
No Circumvention: Attempts to bypass storage limitations, pricing structures, or access restrictions may result in immediate account suspension.

Right to Terminate or Modify Accounts

Termination Without Liability: FolderFort may suspend or terminate accounts at its sole discretion without liability, compensation, or refund if:
- A user violates our Terms of Service.
- The account is found to be engaging in prohibited activities.
- The service is discontinued.
Limited Liability for Data Loss: FolderFort is not responsible for data loss due to service interruptions, feature removals, or account terminations. Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups.

Other Sites and Services

FolderFort may contain links to websites, services, and advertisements that we neither own nor control. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party sites, information, materials, products, or services.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement govern our collection and use of your personal information. You represent that you have provided all necessary privacy notices and obtained all necessary consents. You are responsible for ensuring your use of FolderFort complies with applicable data privacy laws.

Security

We take security seriously. For more information about our security measures, see our Privacy Policy.

Additional Terms — Folder Fort 2.0 & Folder Fort Business

Effective July 10, 2026; migration offer wording updated September 19, 2026. These additional terms apply to Folder Fort 2.0 accounts, including Personal and Business plans, and supplement the terms above. Where they conflict, these additional terms control for 2.0 accounts. The Classic Retirement & Great Migration subsection below also applies to every Folder Fort Classic account.

Plans, Pricing & Changes

We may change plan pricing, plan contents, allowances, and promotional offers at any time. Price changes take effect at your next billing cycle, and we will provide reasonable notice before a change affects an active subscription. Except where the specific terms of an accepted offer expressly provide otherwise, promotional discounts — including Discount Lock offers — remain applied only while the qualifying subscription stays continuously active and in good standing; if a subscription is cancelled, lapses, or is terminated for a violation of these terms, the discount ends and any later re-subscription is at then-current pricing. A Discount Lock fixes the discount percentage, applied to the regular price for the selected plan and billing period in effect at each renewal. It does not fix a dollar price unless the accepted offer expressly provides a fixed-dollar guarantee. Coupon codes and launch offers may be modified or withdrawn before acceptance and have no cash value.

For the current Great Migration offer, code earlymigration provides a permanent 50% Discount Lock on any Personal or Business plan, monthly or annual. At each renewal, the 50% discount applies to the regular price for the selected plan and billing period in effect on that renewal date. Regular prices may change with notice as described above; the discount percentage stays fixed. This is not a fixed-dollar price guarantee. These specific migration terms take precedence over the general promotional provisions above.

Any earlier individually confirmed fixed-dollar price commitments remain governed by their original confirmed terms, including any original subscription and billing-cadence conditions. The current offer does not replace or reduce benefits under earlier migration or conversion offers already accepted or confirmed; their original eligibility and confirmation requirements continue to apply.

Storage Allowances

Storage allowances are defined by your plan. Additional storage allowances granted or due under earlier accepted lifetime conversion offers remain governed by their original terms: they are additive to the plan's included storage, require an active paid conversion subscription, are tied to a verified qualifying account, and are limited to the stated caps; they may be revoked in cases of fraud, resale of the offer itself, or violation of these terms. The current Great Migration offer provides store credit for purchased Classic lifetime capacity, separate from the storage included in your chosen 2.0 plan. Storage add-ons apply only while the related subscription or purchase remains active.

For conversions begun before September 16, 2026, a lifetime account holder's prior Classic account was accessible for up to 30 days from the conversion date under the earlier offer. A Classic account already closed under that offer is not reopened. Any such account still open on September 16, 2026 remains available until the holder submits closure confirmation or the Classic retirement deadline below, whichever comes first. Any right to cancel a conversion and revert to Classic ends when Classic retires. After the applicable transition window, the conversion is final: the Classic account is closed and its stored files are permanently deleted. It is the account holder's responsibility to transfer any needed files during the transition window. Qualifying prior purchases on the Classic account — such as FF Connect Pro or API credits — are applied on conversion either as their 2.0 equivalent or as account credit, at our reasonable discretion.

Classic Retirement & Great Migration

Folder Fort Classic access ends November 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, with no recovery window after access ends. Files remaining in open Classic accounts will enter permanent deletion beginning November 17, 2026. Move or download the files you want to keep before Classic access ends; nothing transfers automatically. You may choose Folder Fort 2.0 or another provider.

Eligibility: One claim per eligible Classic lifetime customer, matched to Classic account records. Subscriptions already on 2.0 as of September 17, 2026 are excluded; their existing benefits remain unchanged. The offer ends November 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
Free trial: 30 days from activation of an eligible 2.0 plan, once per eligible customer. Migration credit is preserved for payments after the trial.
Store credit: $40 USD per TB of purchased Classic lifetime capacity recorded on the account, with each entitlement counted once. Credit applies to 2.0 payments after any applicable coupon or discount. It is non-transferable and has no cash value. Unused credit remains on the account for future purchases.
Early transfer bonus: An additional $20 USD in store credit, once, for completing the move to 2.0 by September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Signing up alone does not qualify.
Discount Lock: Code earlymigration permanently locks in 50% off any Personal or Business plan, monthly or annual. Renewals use the regular price in effect at the time of renewal, less the locked 50% discount. Regular prices may change; the discount percentage does not. Prices are USD; taxes are extra.
Transfer help: Free Classic FF Connect access and migration API credits are available through November 16, 2026 to help you move to 2.0 or another provider. Contact migration support to arrange access.

The current offer details and moving instructions are on the migration page and form part of these terms once the offer is accepted. The current offer replaces storage-matching and right-sizing incentives for new claims; it does not change benefits under earlier offers already accepted or confirmed.

Bandwidth & Fair Use

Monthly bandwidth allowances are based on your plan and reset each billing cycle; unused allowance does not roll over. Transfer through uploads, downloads, streaming, embeds, share links, APIs, and connected services counts toward your allowance; cached delivery may reduce counted transfer at our discretion, and caching behavior is not guaranteed. Purchased bandwidth is consumed only after the monthly allowance. To protect service quality for everyone, we may apply fair-use measures — including rate limiting, connection limits, or temporary throttling — to accounts whose usage patterns degrade the service or indicate abuse, and we may adjust allowance mechanics as the service evolves.

Business, White Label & Reseller Use

Business features let you offer storage under your own brand and sell plans to your own customers through your own Stripe account. You — not Folder Fort — are the merchant of record for your customers: you are responsible for your pricing, taxes, refunds, customer support, legal compliance, and the content your customers store. Stripe's processing fees are charged under your own agreement with Stripe and are your responsibility; in addition, Folder Fort charges a 1% application fee on each transaction processed through the reseller integration, which may change with notice as described under Plans, Pricing & Changes. Your customers' use of the platform must comply with these terms, and we may suspend or remove downstream accounts that violate them. White-label use does not create any partnership, agency, or endorsement relationship, and you may not represent Folder Fort as your own infrastructure in a misleading way.

Service Changes & Availability

The service will change over time. We may add, modify, restrict, or discontinue features, plans, or integrations at any time, with or without notice, including features marked as beta or "coming soon," which are provided as previews and are not guaranteed to ship by any date or at all. Legacy ("Classic") services are provided in maintenance mode, as-is. Uptime targets are goals, not warranties, except where an express guarantee (such as a money-back guarantee) states otherwise.

Restrictions & Suspension

You may not use the service to store or distribute unlawful content, infringe intellectual property (DMCA policies apply), operate open/public file dumps designed to exploit bandwidth allowances, or run automated workloads intended to circumvent plan limits. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, present a security risk, or remain unpaid, following reasonable notice where practical. Upon termination or cancellation you retain a reasonable window to download your data, after which it may be permanently deleted.
