Is there really a free plan?
Yes. Sign up and you get free encrypted storage to try the platform — no credit card required. Share a review on social media and contact support to get a bonus 25GB free.
How does bandwidth work?
Every plan includes a monthly bandwidth allowance — up to 10GB on the Free plan, your storage size on Personal, and up to 2x your storage on Business, so a 1TB Business plan gets up to 2TB of bandwidth each month. It covers uploading, downloading, streaming, embedding, share links and API use, and it refreshes automatically every month — nothing to claim, nothing to top up. Frequently accessed files are cached, so some traffic may not even count against your allowance. If you need more, add it anytime; purchased bandwidth is only used after your monthly allowance runs out.
I have an existing Folder Fort account from before July 10th, 2026 — what about me?
Your Classic account keeps working, and you can keep signing in as usual. If you'd like the new platform, lifetime account holders get an exclusive conversion deal — see the Lifetime Upgrade page. Everyone else can create a 2.0 account and move at their own pace.
Can I really resell storage?
Yes — Business accounts can create their own plans, set their own prices, and collect payments directly through their own Stripe account. You manage your customers; we power the storage. Stripe's standard processing fees apply under your own Stripe account, plus a 1% Folder Fort application fee per transaction.
